AI Citation Meter

The AI Citation Meter is a measurement protocol: four probes (LLM mentions, a ChatGPT scraper, Bing Copilot, Google AI Mode) run on raw APIs with every call costed, plus the grid “crawled is not cited is not paid”. Our own run found 1,039 Copilot citations in five days and zero from Perplexity and Google for seven weeks; both numbers ship with the product.

What it does: Measure, per engine and per campaign, whether an AI answer cites a site, with the cost of every API call written down and the engine always named.

What it will never do: Will never promise you will “rank in ChatGPT”. Nobody can. We sell the instrument.

RUN PROOF
PROTOCOL 2026-08 · Copilot: 1,039 citations of wiserstaff.com in five days, 97% on vendor-brand queries, 6 of 35 pages produce all of them. Perplexity and Google: 0 of 12, seventh week running.

Instrument: Bing Webmaster AI Performance and Clarity for the Copilot side (same Microsoft data, counted once); a scripted browser run for Perplexity and Google. “The AIs cite us” is not a sentence we write; the engine is always named.

AI Citation Meter: $199 once, protocol and the four probes. If you need daily tracking, buy Otterly. Ours is a per-campaign measurement you run on the raw APIs, with every call costed.

Primary = read on the vendor’s own pricing page on that date. Secondary = a third-party read, not confirmed on the vendor page. No calculator, no “breakeven”, no “profit”: the readings are context, not a swap.

What is inside

The protocol, step by step, for each of the four probes with the exact endpoints and their price on the date we paid it. The grid “crawled ≠ cited ≠ paid” with our own readings filled in. The cost ledger template. The monthly routine that produced our numbers. The register of what the instruments cannot see (the Bing report has no API for share of authority; Google AI Mode is sampled, not counted).

Waitlist: AI Citation Meter

No ship date is set: a system goes on sale the day its payment test passes. You get one dated note then, with the price frozen and the run proof attached. No sequence, no countdown.

UNVERIFIED FOR THIS SYSTEM
  • Third dated execution: Two dated runs exist (2026-08-22, 2026-08-31). The third is scheduled with the monthly review; Gate 0 stays partial until then.

AI Citation Meter: questions

Does it tell me how to get cited?

It tells you whether you are, by which engine, on which query, and what it cost to find out. The grid separates crawled, cited and paid; what you do with the reading is your strategy.

Why four probes?

Each engine leaks its citations through a different door (a mentions API, a scraper, Bing's AI performance report, Google's AI mode), and none of them agree. Four probes, one ledger, the engine named on every line.
